Tip of the week: If your laptop screen is failing there is a simple test you can perform to determine if it is the screen itself or a deeper problem with the laptop motherboard. Every laptop has a port for connecting and external monitor. If you plug an external monitor into the port, you should be able to see a clean image of what is on the laptop display. If you do not see a clean image you most likely have a problem with the graphics chip on the motherboard.
